THE KING’S HEAD THEATRE: HOUDINI'S GREATEST ESCAPE

  • Islington Square 116N Upper Street London N1 1QP (map)

About

Experience an evening of pure entertainment and escapism with "Houdini’s Greatest Escape"! This fast-paced, madcap adventure, fresh from a national tour, had audiences across the country rolling in the aisles with big laughs, astonishing illusions, and even bigger characters.

Join the world’s greatest entertainer, Harry Houdini, and his wife Bess as they go on the run after being framed for murder by a corrupt police chief in cahoots with an eccentric criminal gang and the superstar medium, Agatha. As they fight to clear their names, they encounter a host of outrageous characters (all portrayed by just two actors), execute daring escapes, and even briefly join the circus!

Inspired by Houdini’s real-life battle against fraudulent mediums, "Houdini’s Greatest Escape" is packed with jaw-dropping illusions by Pete Firman (Good Omens) and laugh-out-loud humor, making it perfect for all ages.

If you love "The 39 Steps," "The Play That Goes Wrong," or classic entertainment like Tommy Cooper and The Two Ronnies, this is the show for you!
