About the Kokedama Workshop with Emi Fujisawa

Come and make your own kokedama (moss ball) in a workshop with Emi Fujisawa in edit.h & otherprojections’ pop up in the south arcade of Islington Square.

You don’t need an entire garden to enjoy a bit of gardening, to relax and switch off from the return of a busy London life … All you need is soil, moss, string and a small plant to get your hands into Japanese ornamental plant making and to bring special beauty to your home.

The making of Kokedama (苔⽟玉 / moss ball) was born out of the desire of the less affluent population in Japan for a simpler, more accessible way to enjoy the beauty of bonsai in their everyday lives.  Join one of our workshops on Saturday 11th December, in our Islington Square pop up – no experience required !

You can bring your own small favourite plant or pick one that we have chosen. All else is included :

1 1/2 hrs of kokedama making & materials

Japanese matcha drink & snack

Please note: each workshop requires 6 attendees to go ahead – or we might combine the two workshops into one.
