About the Yoga on the Summer Terrace
After so many months curled up on the sofa, summer is the time to stretch. Yoga on the Summer Terrace returns in style this season, with five of our favourite instructors, encouraging Islington to breathe into the body with a series of interactive live classes. (No turning your camera off, here.)
Annie is a London based yoga teacher with a passion for holding space. “I love to share the practice of yoga as a tool for a deeper, more connected and intuitive way of living,” she explains. “I weave through a thread of modern philosophy to create depth to the practice and bridge the gap between this beautiful ancient practice and our modern lifestyles.”
Mara first discovered yoga as a way to find peace and calm in the mind. That it did, and through the time it helped her in so many different ways: she became more flexible and stronger physically and that reflected on her life and how she approaches day to day. So it’s just fair she shares the impact that yoga can have on your life and all its benefits! Her classes are challenging and creative and her aim is to create a safe space where you can try new things and be playful.
“My yoga teaching philosophy is simple – keep it fun, welcoming and inclusive,” explains Emily. “Yoga is for everyone, not just the naturally flexible gymnasts amongst us.” With training in Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Rocket, Yin and Mindfulness, Emily covers multiple practices. She will focus on Dynamic Vinyasa, Breathwork, Self-Empowerment, Slow Flow and Meditation at Islington Square.
Sabi is a self-love coach, yoga teacher, speaker, meditation and movement guide, passionate about helping people connect to their body and soul. Through coaching, online programmes, events and classes, her mission is to guide people all over the world to love themselves more deeply, and live with more purpose, passion, pleasure and prosperity.
Kelly is a yoga teacher and online mindfulness and weight loss coach from London. Kelly taught Yoga on the Summer Terrace last year, and will be returning for Summer 2021. She specialises in dynamic vinyasa flow.
