Louisa Ashton shows you how to make a stop motion animation film, inspired by the animation in her retelling of The Selfish Giant story.

These animations are easier than they look, and you can make them at home! All you’ll need is: A camera or phone, a tripod or phone stand, paper, card or fabric, some materials from outdoors (e.g. pebbles, leaves or twigs), paper puppets, a computer, video editing software or an app, and an adult to help you.

We’d love to see your finished animations. Please share them with Islington Square and Little Angel Theatre — Twitter: @LittleATheatre, Facebook: /LittleAngelTheatre, Instagram: @littleangeltheatre.

We hope you’re enjoying the unique content our partners are sharing with you at this challenging time. At a time when it’s difficult to come together, we invite you to join us in supporting the vital work Mind Islington are doing to help the most vulnerable in the wider community.

You can donate directly to the charity here.
